A private “Solo in Style” Adriatic cruise… Travel with women from around the globe to discover paradise on Earth — Croatia’s transparent, bright blue waters and charming island villages! Curated especially for our members, Deborah Ives, founder of Solo In Style, and Jodie Smith, owner of Globe Drifters, will also be joining the trip as your hosts to ensure that your trip is extra special! With a small, intimate group, you’ll enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, share serene sunset dinners, and access hidden coves and coastal towns that larger ships can’t reach.
Privacy included: Enjoy your own private room without paying any extra fees.
Small group, big comfort: The yacht holds 36, but the limit for this trip is 16. So you will have plenty of space to stretch your legs and enjoy your vacation.
Fun in the sun: June is ideal for swimming, and you can jump straight into the brilliant blue water right from the boat. Float around on a noodle, try stand-up paddle boarding, go snorkeling, or zoom around on a wave runner!
Cheers to unlimited drinks on the boat: A drink package is included — one less thing for you to worry about, so you can enjoy your vacation!
Welcome to Croatia! Upon arrival, settle into your hotel in Dubrovnik, followed by some free time to explore the sights, sounds, and smells of this coastal city. We suggest a visit to the Old Town, which is full of baroque churches and medieval palaces that will transport you back in time. Wander in the narrow streets and alleys, stop at one of the many cafes or restaurants, or browse the shops and boutiques for souvenirs and local handicrafts.
*Airport pick-up is included only if you arrive on Day 1. If you are not arriving on Day 1, airport pick-up is not included, but you can easily take a taxi at the airport or pre-arrange an airport pick-up with a transport company such as Welcome Pickups or one that you may find online.
Kick off your day with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and enjoy the rest of the morning at your own pace. Whether you’re unwinding or exploring a bit more, we suggest a casual stroll through the charming harbor of Cavtat, right next to your hotel – a real hidden gem with a laid-back vibe and a lively seafront promenade.
In the early afternoon, we’ll meet at the hotel and head to the docks, where your floating home for the week awaits — a sleek, premium yacht with a jacuzzi and a spacious sundeck. Once aboard, you’ll enjoy a welcome drink and a light lunch as the captain sets sail for Mljet, Croatia’s greenest island. On Mljet, we’ll hop on a small boat to visit the picturesque St Mary’s Island, home to a historic Benedictine monastery. You’ll then have some free time to soak up Mljet’s lush, untouched surroundings and wander the charming harbor village of Pomena, where you can dip into its bars, shops, and fresh seafood restaurants.

Enjoy breakfast on board as we sail toward Badija Island, another gem of the Adriatic. Packed with nature and rich history, it’s also home to some very special residents – friendly fallow deer! Take in the stunning views of the crystal-clear waters and dive in for a refreshing swim before we head to the island, where you have some free time to explore inland. We recommend visiting the austere yet beautiful Franciscan Monastery sitting right on the water’s edge.
After your visit, head back to the boat for a relaxed lunch as we sail to the nearby island of Korčula. Once we dock, meet your local guide for a walking tour of this charming town, famously known as the birthplace of Marco… Polo! Then, you’ll have plenty of free time to wander through the old town’s maze of narrow streets, cleverly designed in a fishbone pattern to block the winds and keep things cool during the summer. The town is filled with fantastic spots for dinner and drinks, many with live traditional music.
Included :
Transfers: Mljet – Korčula by boat (approximately 1.5 hours)
Activities: Badija Island; Korčula walking tour; Korčula free time
Today, set sail to Vis, one of the Adriatic’s most remote and captivating islands. This island has been a favorite stop for seafarers for centuries, and once you arrive, you’ll understand why. You might also recognize Vis from Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again — the stunning scenes set on the island of Kalokari, Greece, were actually filmed right here on Vis!
With a history stretching from ancient Greece to its role as a Cold War military base, Vis is brimming with stories. Join a guided military tour to uncover hidden bunkers and tunnels that reveal the island’s fascinating wartime past.
You’ll then have some free time to explore the island on your own—wander through its charming streets and soak in the laid-back vibes before returning to the boat for a delicious dinner to end your day.
Included :
Transfers: Korčula – Vis by boat (approximately 5 hours)
We set off early to beat the crowds and make our way to Biševo Island, home to one of the Adriatic’s most mesmerizing natural wonders—the Blue Cave. Inside, the sunlight illuminates the water, casting an ethereal glow that feels almost otherworldly.
After the visit, return to the yacht and sail toward the sun-soaked island of Hvar, one of the most coveted beach locations in all of Europe. Whether you’re into shopping, wine tasting, hiking, swimming, or unwinding in wellness classes, Hvar has something for everyone. And for those who love to party, its vibrant nightlife will keep you entertained long into the night!
Included :
Transfers: Vis – Hvar by boat (approximately 1.5 hours)
Activities: Blue Cave visit; Hvar walking tour; Hvar free time
Start your morning with a few more hours to soak up the charm of Hvar before we head north to Stari Grad, still on the island of Hvar. We’ll dock at Stari Grad, one of Europe’s oldest towns (its name literally means “The Old Town”), founded by the Greeks in 384 BC. Upon arrival, enjoy some free time to wander the picturesque streets, where you’ll discover a lively mix of local markets, cozy bakeries, and quirky shops selling handmade goods, olive oil, and local wines.
Later, we’ll make our way to a winery and farm just in time for sunset and jaw-dropping views. Tucked among vineyards, olive trees, and lavender fields, this working farm offers an authentic farm-to-table experience, with everything you eat and drink coming straight from the land. Before dinner, take a leisurely stroll around the farm, then enjoy a tasting of their signature wines. This is one of Hvar’s best-kept secrets!
Included :
Transfers: Hvar – Stari Grad by boat (approximately 2.5 hours)
Activities: Hvar free time; Stari Grad free time; Farm-to-table experience with wine tasting
Today we’ll head toward the town of Bol on the sun-drenched island of Brač, renowned for its white stone, famously used in the construction of both Diocletian’s Palace and the White House. Along the way, we’ll stop for some fun in the sun and jump into the sparkling waters, before settling back on board to enjoy a tasty lunch as we approach the island.
Once we arrive, you’ll have some free time to soak up the town’s relaxed vibe. Bol is home to the iconic Golden Horn beach, a fascinating pebble stretch whose shape constantly shifts with the tides and winds, making it one of the most photographed spots in the Adriatic. Stroll along the lovely promenade under the pine trees lined with charming shops, visit the Franciscan Monastery, or just relax in front of the sea with a glass of Dalmatian wine.
This evening, we’ll gather back on the yacht for some party time! Throw on your best navy stripes and a fun, quirky accessory for a lively navy-themed bash on the sundeck! Dance, laugh, and soak up the sunset vibes before winding down with a delicious dinner on board.
Included :
Transfers: Stari Grad – Bol by boat (approximately 1 hour)
This morning, we’ll set sail to Trogir, often called ‘the museum town’ for its well-preserved rich history. This lively town boasts a vibrant waterfront, bustling markets, and winding cobblestone streets. We’ll have lunch on the boat just before arriving, and then, a local guide will take us through the highlights, sharing fascinating stories about Trogir’s past at every turn.
After the tour, you’ll have the afternoon to wander through its maze of narrow streets, discovering quirky artisanal shops and hidden gems.
Included :
Transfers: Bol – Trogir by boat (approximately 2 hours)
This morning, we’ll take one last scenic voyage across the Adriatic from Trogir to Split, enjoying the sea breeze and sweeping views before bidding farewell to the amazing crew and yacht that we’ve called home for the past eight days.
Once we arrive in Split, we’ll meet up with a local guide for a walking tour of the old town. Wander through narrow stone alleys, lively squares, and the impressive Diocletian’s Palace, famously featured in Game of Thrones. We’ll also explore the palace’s underground cellars, one of the best-preserved parts of the complex. Their layout perfectly mirrors that of Diocletian’s private quarters above, but unlike the upper floors, the cellars have survived almost perfectly — buried and forgotten for centuries, hidden from weather, wars, and everyday life.
Included :
Transfers: Trogir – Split by boat (approximately 1 hour)
Depending on your flight time, you will have free time on your own in Split before catching your flight back home. We hope to see you again on another Globe Drifters adventure!

Who can go on this trip? This trip is only for women part of the Solo in Style Facebook group.
Smile policy We welcome all kinds of travelers, and the group dynamic of each trip is different, but also part of what makes the trip so amazing. You should be able to treat everyone in the group as well as the locals with respect and kindness.
No complainers Our goal is for everyone to have fun and a trip of a lifetime. On our trips, you should be able to let the small stuff go and exercise flexibility when things don’t go according to plan. If you are a traveler who finds fault with everything and complains about the little things, then our trips are not right for you.Come with an open mind and adventurous spirit, and you’ll have the trip of a lifetime!
Croatia is not like home You will be sleeping on a yacht for most of the trip, so expect things to be different than what you’re used to back home, and remember that it’s all a part of traveling and experiencing new places! For example, water pressure, bed and pillow firmness, and room temperature may be different than what you’re used to back home. Also, Wifi may be spotty, slow, or even unavailable in certain remote areas.
Daily swim stops On this trip, there will be a swim stop each day for 2~5 hours directly off the back of the boat (weather permitting). If you prefer not to swim, you should be comfortable spending this time relaxing onboard. You can enjoy the jacuzzi, sundeck, bar, or A/C lounge for some quiet downtime.
Trip hosts & boat crew Your trip hosts will help you have an unforgettable experience and can answer questions & offer suggestions. They will always try to go above and beyond to help you have an amazing trip, but they are not your personal assistant. Travelers should exercise a certain level of self-sufficiency and independence on our trips. We also suggest tipping those who went out of their way to help you, especially your trip hosts and boat crew, who will be with you every day throughout the entire trip.
Semi-independent trip Our trips are designed for the semi-independent traveler. If you choose not to participate in any of the included activities, you are responsible for organizing your own activities. Your trip leader can offer recommendations for alternative activities, but it is up to you to make reservations for extra activities. Additionally, you’re free to arrive before or depart after the trip, but pre-/post-trip plans, accommodation, transport, etc. are up to you to arrange. We do not offer assistance with any plans outside of the trip dates.
This trip requires a low level of physical fitness. If you’re not feeling up for an activity, you’re welcome to explore on your own.
The yacht has 2 narrow flights of stairs; you must be able to walk up and down the stairs on a moving boat unassisted to participate in this trip.
To participate in this trip, you should be able to:
Be comfortable on a boat for 7 days and nights.
Walk 1 – 2 miles throughout the day, up/down stairs, over unpaved or cobblestone surfaces with/without an incline, and on paths with rough terrain made of dirt, mud, rocks, stones, etc.
Be comfortable on your feet for up to 4 hours walking and standing, indoors and outdoors, and in all weather conditions.
Carry your luggage from the taxi/van to the hotels and the yacht, and your room.*
Get in and out of a boat and van without assistance.
*NOTE:Both hotels have luggage porters. If someone takes your luggage to your room, we ask that you tip accordingly.
The max amount of travelers for this trip is 16 travelers. We prefer small group travel because, based on our experience, large groups are less easily able to integrate into society and generally have less authentic contact with the locals.
A small group number also means that the participants will receive more personal treatment from the trip hosts, who can more thoroughly attend to the needs of each person. Small groups are also more mobile and flexible, as travel plans can be more easily altered en route.
Currently, Australian, United Kingdom, Canadian, and United States passport holders do not need a visa if traveling to Croatia for less than 90 days.*
*The European Union is planning to introduce a travel authorization program for most visitors traveling to Europe in 2025. It is not currently required, but we will provide any guidance necessary when it is launched.
If you are not a citizen of one of the countries mentioned above, please check with the nearest Croatian embassy or consulate for information on visas and travel to Croatia.
You may also be required to show proof of exit in the form of a departure flight ticket.
As a general rule, passports should have at least six months of validity when traveling internationally. Most countries will not permit a traveler to enter their country unless the passport is set to expire at least six months after the final day of travel.
While most daily activities are already included in the trip price, you will have some free time, and the trip host can recommend activities that might interest you. Optional activities are not included in the trip cost and are at your own expense.
Airport pick-up is included in this trip*. The arrival airport is Dubrovnik, Croatia (DBV).
*Airport pick-up is included only if you arrive on Day 1. If do not arrive on Day 1, airport pick-up is not included, but you can easily take a taxi at the airport or pre-arrange an airport pick-up with a transport company such as Welcome Pickups or one that you may find online.
Airport drop-off is not included on this trip. The departure airport is Split, Croatia (SPU). The hotel can help you arrange a taxi to the airport.
We strongly recommend that you use ATMs as they usually offer the best exchange rates. The easiest way is to pull money out from the ATM at the airport upon arrival and throughout your trip. It is always a good idea to have some cash on hand in case your bank puts a hold on your ATM card.
ATMs are easily found in large cities and airports, but they are less common in rural and remote areas. When traveling on remote islands, be prepared to have enough cash as ATMs may not be easily found.
Since euros are a popular currency, most banks in your hometown/city will exchange your local currency for them. This is a convenient option to get euros, but be aware that some banks might have unfavorable exchange rates or charge additional fees. It is best to check with your bank to see what fees are associated with exchanging money in your hometown.
You can also exchange currency in the major cities and tourist areas. The airports also have exchange desks. If you aren’t happy with the exchange rates offered, then simply change what you need immediately and look for a better deal elsewhere. Keep in mind that airports and hotels often offer poorer currency exchange rates.
Please note that the boat does not accept credit cards for any purchases made on board.
Credit and debit cards are widely used in most towns and cities. However, at small, local businesses such as bakeries, coffee shops, and bars, cash may be the main method of payment. Therefore, it is best to carry cash in case you come across a place that does not accept cards.
It’s important to tell your bank and/or credit card company that you will be using your card. Some banks block transactions in foreign countries or currencies if they haven’t been forewarned about your travel plans.
Croatia has a modest tipping culture. In restaurants, taxis, and for personal services, all tips are at your discretion. If you do decide to tip, around 10% of the total bill is appreciated. Tipping is generally cash only.
Below are suggested tipping amounts during your cruise:
Yacht crew: 300 EUR split among all crew members in cash at the end of your trip.If you feel a certain crew member went above and beyond, you’re welcome to tip him/her more in person.
For more information about tipping, please see our blog on tipping.
We recommend having access to anywhere between 500 ~ 800 EUReither in cash or by credit/debit card. We strongly advise budgeting more than you plan to spend in case of an emergency.
As most components of your trip have been prepaid, you will only need money for some lunches and dinners, and any optional activities you may want to participate in. If you are an avid shopper or enjoy a cocktail in the evening, these costs are incurred at your own expense.
Like most travel destinations, Croatia does not lack in its offerings of unique items, so please budget and pack accordingly! Remember that most places that offer high-end products will often accept credit/debit cards.
When using your phone overseas, be sure to check with your provider to get informed about data and call roaming prices. When you land, you will usually get a message from your provider that will give you the price of data, calls, and texts in that country. See the example below:
Welcome to Croatia! Your plan gives you unlimited data at up to 2G speeds and texts at no extra cost. Calls at 20 cents/min. Want our fastest data and unlimited calls? Get an International Pass for just $5/day.
Contact your service provider to learn about what international plans they offer for calls, texts, and data.
The boat has free Wifi, but it may be slow, spotty, or absent at times. The hotels in Dubrovnik and Split offer free Wifi, and so do most restaurants.
Please keep in mind that the internet may not be as fast as you’re used to and could be spotty or absent in remote areas. Be prepared to ‘disconnect’ when sailing and traveling in remote areas.
In Croatia, the most common outlet fits European pin plugs also known as the standard “Euro” outlet(see picture below). Croatia operates on 230V and 50Hz. Converters and/or adapters might be necessary for your electronic devices.
In summer, the weather is hot during the day, and light clothing is recommended. The nights may get cooler, so we recommend packing a light jacket as well and for windy sailing days.
Refillable water bottle (boat has a free hot/cold purified water dispenser)
Adapters, converters, chargers, cables for electronics (bring 2 or more just in case!)*
Shampoo, soap, conditioner
Navy outfit & fun accessories (for our navy-theme boat party!)
*Must-have items!
There will be hairdryers in the rooms at the hotels and on the boat. Beach towels and a few floaties, and noodles are provided on the boat for swim stops. If you have a favorite floatie, feel free to bring it along—there’s an automatic air pump on board.
Since most of this trip will be on a boat, there are no laundry facilities. Please bring enough clothing for the trip in case you are not able to get it cleaned.
Yes, we can. When making your reservation, please notify us of your specific requests such as gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, etc. Alternative options will always be possible throughout the trip although options might be limited.
Most areas of Croatia have very few crimes compared to bigger US and European cities. As with any travel destination, it is important to be aware of your surroundings with a secure over-the-shoulder day pack that closes tightly. This way, your belongings will not easily become the property of any purse snatchers or pickpockets.
When going to larger cities such as Dubrovnik or Split, pickpocketing is much more common, and we advise not putting anything in your back pockets, especially if you are on a crowded bus/train or at a crowded tourist spot, as thieves tend to target these areas.
If you suffer from pre-existing medical conditions or are concerned about what vaccinations may be right for you, please visit a medical professional or your personal physician before your trip.
Flights
Your arrival airport is Dubrovnik (DBV) and the departure airport is Split (SPU).
Please do not book any flights until you receive a confirmation from us. You will receive a confirmation email within 24 ~ 48 hours of booking.
Visa
Currently, Australian, United Kingdom, Canadian, and United States passport holders do not need a visa if traveling to Croatia for less than 90 days.*
*The European Union is planning to introduce a travel authorization program for most visitors traveling to Europe in 2025. It is not currently required, but we will provide any guidance necessary when it is launched.
If you are not a passport holder from one of the countries mentioned above, please check with your nearest embassy or consulate for information on visas and travel to Croatia.
As a general rule, passports should have at least six months of validity when traveling internationally. Most countries will not permit a traveler to enter their country unless the passport is set to expire at least six months after the final day of travel.
You will spend 8 days and 7 nights on a premium yacht and 2 nights in hotels on the mainland in Split and Dubrovnik.
If you are arriving before or staying after the trip and want to do some sightseeing, it is best to book accommodation closer to the old towns and city centers.
The Dubrovnik and Split hotels are outside the old towns and city centers. The cruise is the main focus of this trip, and we only include 1 night pre-cruise because we don’t want anyone to miss the cruise in case of delayed flights or lost luggage.
We will be in Croatia during peak season, so most hotels will be completely sold out. Because we need 16 total rooms for just 1 night, we can only stay at extremely large hotels outside of the city center. Additionally, the pool and breakfast areas tend to be very crowded, and early check-in is not usually possible, but you can always leave your luggage at the front desk if you wish to go exploring.

GUEST REVIEWS
This was a wonderful trip.
November 2, 2021
This was a wonderful trip. The guide, Ivance, was extraordinary and added so much to the experience. The lodgings were lovely. The sites were beautiful. Each city was unique and there was time to explore in most cases. If I would change anything, I would spend more time in Zadar and skip the day trip to Sali, Croatia. All the other places should not be missed. We had a great group of travelers that made the trip extra special. Maybe Balkans/Adriatic tours attract just the right kind of people that mesh well and are fun, kind and curious. 5 stars.

It was another life time experience
October 1, 2021
It was another life time experience and my second trip with Globe-Drifters. I love the small group and we were all friends by the end of the trip. Our tour guide Ivance was the best ever and I’ve had a lot. Thanks to Jodie Smith and all of the women on this trip for making it one to remember. Love Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia. GD was the perfect way to see these countries and experience most of what was offered.

The 13-day Adriatic Trip was a blast
October 1, 2021
The 13-day Adriatic Trip was a blast. First, the itinerary was so well laid out; it had structured and free times, cities and natural sceneries (national parks, water falls…), ocean boating and castle walking, slow paced beach and exciting shopping experience. As a Vegan, my needs were well taken care of. It was not hard to find delicious and fresh vegan dishes… Our tour guide, Ivance, was knowledges, fun, and patient. She is a local, and passionate about her job. I am very pleased about this trip. Thank you, Ivance, Judie, and Rebecca, for making this possible! JP Huang Apex, NC
